The old saying "you're only as strong as your weakest link" is far truer than we often realize.
Today I had the opportunity to have some postural weaknesses pointed out to me and although admittedly surprised at first, my thoughts now are on making them my strengths and realizing how much stronger I will be now that I know. Posture is my most common ragging point (just read my blogs or ask my clients) and just to make things easier, it is also one of the more difficult movement patterns and sets to correct simply because many postural symptoms stem from the posterior side of our bodies and it is hard to make adjustments and see the problems and final product ourselves. Yet another reason to have a good health team on your side.
Strength does not only grow from muscles and nerves. Having knowledgeable people around you, connected and in-tune to your goals will make your transition to optimal health that much smoother and make your end-results more lasting and durable. A good support system from similarly educated work-out partners to actual health professionals will help fill the other weakness that hinders true progress in any endeavour, knowledge.
It is only with full and continuously updated information and feedback that a commitment to continued improvement will truly pay dividends for any pursuit. So with this firmly in mind, build a team but choose your players wisely and make sure they are as positive and as happy as you are to be on board!
Choose to be on team, choose good people you trust, choose to stay well.
